Somatic Hatha is an integrated approach to the harmonious development of body and mind, based on traditional yogic principles. Yoga isn’t just a physical practice. It develops both a mental stillness and a greater emotional capability.  This class will look at focusing on the breath as a means to move the body in its natural flow. An organic way into a practice that strengthens the core and creates strength within flexibility. In this class we will flow from one asana to another, encouraging the muscles to lengthen and discovering space in the joints. 

This class can benefit every-"body" regardless of age and/or limitation from a beginner to more experienced practitioners.

Yoga Course - Fundamentals  Cost £35 for 10 weeks (1st class free)
 Tuesday 7.30 - 9pm at  Dance Studio, Cotham School,  Cotham Lawn Road, Bristol

‘The Breath Leads, Our Bodies follow.’  
  
This 10 week practice is designed to create a platform of embodiment and presence to 
take us into our life. The class will include  a progressive moving  asana practice and 
breath work. Led by Jamus Wood.  

Week 1   – Breathing 1, Allowing the breath to move us
Week 2   – Breathing 2, The Ocean breath and Bandha basics
Week 3   – Mudras and the breathing Body.
Week 4   – Standing postures - Discovering the difference between collapsing, propping and yielding. 
Week 5   – Moving from centre and Standing Postures
Week 6   – Soft Spine and back Bends
Week 7   – Flow & Vinyasa 
Week 8   – Lunar Salutation, release & Meditation
Week 9   – Organ Support, Fluids and the skeleton (content and container)
Week 10 – Intergration

Drop In Yoga  Lunchtimes  - Mondays 1pm to 2pm @ Bristol City Yoga, Back Fields Lane, St Pauls, Bristol
‘Finding Flexibility and Strength.’ 

A class with a focus on flow and breath. Over the weeks we will focus on developing deep core strength with the support of the breath. We will work through Donna Farhi’s Sun Salutation  sequence. Come ready to breath and move.
